  1. What are the musical differences between the album and the single versions?

    1. From Nick2341 :

"Off The Wall – There have been three different mixes of this song -- the original LP, the 45 remix/edit, and a full-length remix. The US 45 version turns up the rhythm guitar, adds a tremendous amount of reverb to the vocals, has the background vocals turned up a bit and fades early making the running time 3:47. The edits released on The Essential Michael Jackson and King Of Pop are NOT the real US single versions, but early fades of the album version. The UK single version subdues some of the background vocals and pumps up the drums running 4:01. This has only been released on CD with the UK Dangerous Tour Souvenir set."

  2. By the way, where does the comment by Nick come from?
